Yes, exactly. Like the time I helped my brother rough out a science fiction novel involving a bloodthirsty alien, legions of doomed townsfolk and a wind-up model of a 1955 Porsche. I was seven, Chris was ten. We never finished it (having been lured away by an even more compelling story in that afternoon's 5-Star Movie.). But I'm pretty sure that was my first experience with goal-directed storytelling.
These days I tell stories with video, interactive media, and plain old words. I tell stories for corporations, small businesses, non-profit groups, and sometimes just for fun.
Experience: over 20 years and some 300 projects, a mixed bag of entertainment, documentary, motivational, public relations, training and marketing pieces.
Clients: AT&T, Foster Wheeler, Ricoh, The Seeing Eye, IBM, Pfizer, Roche, The Guardian Angels... and that's just a few.
My contribution varies with the job. Sometimes I'm just the writer, or just the editor. More often I provide a combination of services. The other sections of this site will tell you more.
